At Tone Circle, everyone is invited to hum and tone! These welcoming, no-pressure improvised sound sessions empower the power of the first instrument (the voice) to help calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and reconnect you with your authentic voice. No singing experience needed—just a willingness to explore your own instrument, resonating from within.
Think gentle, meditative vocal exploration.

What's community vocal toning?
Why vocalize together?
Harmonize. Empower. Normalize.
Experiencing our voices in community gives us the opportunity to practice deep listening within, full acceptance of ourselves and others, and feel heard. The mind-body benefits of improvised vocal toning on our own are only amplified in a group, where we also have the chance to give and receive essential support. It's also very common that beautiful, intricate harmonies arise spontaneously. Each session is different, but all are welcoming, judgment-free atmospheres for exploration, healing, and connection.
Feeling shy about singing?
It’s normal to feel shy about our voices—and it’s perfectly fine to come to a session and just listen. This is a safe, no-pressure space with only an open invitation. In group harmonic meditation, the magic isn’t in "singing pretty" or getting it right—it’s in simply showing up for ourselves. It starts with listening inwardly, when you're ready, letting yourself be heard. Your voice matters because it’s yours—whether it’s spoken, toned, or quietly felt. But if you're still feeling hesitant, we recommend bringing an emotional support friend!
Welcome to safe space.
Why make it a habit?
Like all meditation, vocal toning is a practice for more mindfulness in daily life. When we release our voice from fear, self-judgment, and shame, we reclaim the ability to use it as an anytime tool for a more heart-centered experience of life. That’s where Tone Circle comes in. Toning together in community normalizes the habit of returning to our authentic vibration for support—in everything from speaking our truth with more confidence to supporting our physical bodies with more intuitive choices. Making group vocal toning a regular practice helps teach your nervous system that it can return to this calm state wherever you happen to be through your breath and vibration.
So your voice is there for you when you need it most.
